Mumbai: With the limitation of pandemic being subsided in the phase, the case of crime in Mumbai rose nearly 27% to 64,656 years ago compared to 2020.
Two rape and because many robbery cases were reported every day, while there were 12 theft houses on average -ins a day.
Calb violations contributed 50% of a total of 1,15,724 FIR in the past two years.
Crimes against women and children rose 20% to 6,038, while the theft cases jumped 32% to 4,534 from the previous year.
Violations of cyberspace also increased by 18% to 2,883 – or nearly eight cases every day.
“The increase in cases is the result of a quick complaint registration,” said a senior police officer.
“With those who live in the room during a pandemic, internet use and boom gadgets, produce a surge in cyber violations and even sexual crimes.”
