12 years of death from the nipah virus in Kerala

Kozhikode: A 12-year-old boy from Kozhikode Kerala died on Sunday morning after testing the Nipah virus infection.
Reports of new Nipah infections that spread through fruit bat saliva fruit came three years after claiming 17 lives in the state.
“The three samples were collected from children-plasma, CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) and serum – found positively in the test carried out at the National Institute of Virology (NIV) Pune,” said Health Minister George George.

The plague of the first Nipah virus in South India was reported in Kozhikode Regency on May 19, 2018.
A total of 18 deaths had been reported in the country until now due to viruses.
