1,200 Udid cards are made, digitized in Distihar Dist

Katihar: Work on the preparation of the UDID ID card (UDID) and digitalization of them, which has slowed in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, once again take steps in Katihar Regency.
With this, more than 1,200 people have used the benefits of a unique ID for persons with disabilities so far.
According to Rajeev Ranjan, assistant director, social security, Katihar is in 12th position in Bihar in terms of work done related to a unique ID for persons with disabilities.
“Disabled people can upload their application to Swavlamban.org or visit the Public Service Center to make themselves registered.
They can also go to the Office of Civil Surgeons or Social Security Cells along with their disability certificate, Aadhaar cards and two photos,” said Rajeev to this reporter, adding that ‘Vikas Mitras’ will identify beneficiaries at the block level.
