12k health vaccination data, frontline staff lost

Gurgaon: The Gurgaon Health Department does not have a vaccination record of 12,000 recipients – categorized as health workers and front lines – and has asked private hospitals in the city to contact them and get clarity on their vaccination status.
According to official data, there are 53,000 health workers and 54,000 frontline workers registered in Gurgaon.
From them, 1.07 lakh has been fully vaccinated while the inoculation status of 7,000 HCWs and 5,000 flws has not been updated.
Health department officials said that the rest of the recipient might have taken Jab in various parts of the country.
When the department conducted a lost data investigation, he observed that many workers have taken their Jab in other countries or as the general public (not as HCW or FLW).
It was also found that many workers took Jab by registering from alternative cellphone numbers.
“We have set August 15 as a deadline for health workers and frontline workers in all private hospitals and the government to get both doses,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
Also, the Haryana government has asked permission from the central government to delete the details of the recipient whose vaccination status has not been updated on the co-win portal.
The Ministry of Health has formed a team to examine all health workers and front lines registered in the district department.
Every day, these teams will visit two departments to check the vaccination status of the recipient.
The Ministry of Health will also establish a camp if needed, officials said.
Meanwhile, the district on Thursday will vaccinate 48 government facilities.
A total of 45 covishield sessions will be held while seven Covaxin and one SPUTNIK S site will be arranged.
On Wednesday, a total of 13,327 people in the age group 18-44 were inoculated.
In the 45-plus category, a total of 3,199 people take shots.
A total of 643 health staff and 152 frontline workers also received Jab.
Meanwhile, Gurgaon witnessed nine fresh Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.
Kaseload now stands at 1,80,923, where 85 is active.
The level of front is 0.1%.
A total of 10 people also recovered, carrying the total recovery amount to 1,79,919.
The recovery rate is at 99.6%.
A total of 77 patients were in a house isolation while eight was in the hospital.
