New Delhi: In a large-scale exercise, more than 13.73 Lakh files are cleaned and almost 8 square feet of space freed in the central government offices for the past month, as part of a special campaign for the disposal of the Liah from the Indian government.
The State Minister for Personnel Jitendra Singh, which on Monday review results from a special campaign launched on October 2, said that the government obtained Rs 40 Crore through memo disposal during this period.
At a review meeting with high-ranking department of the Administration Reform and Public Complaints (DARPG) on the campaign results here on Monday, Singh noted with satisfaction that more than 13.73 Lakh files were harassed from 15.23 Lakh files identified for this purpose.
Likewise, the target of public complaints 3.28 lakh, 2.91 lakh was pressed within 30 days.
Of the 11,057 references from parliamentarians, 8,282 were resolved.
In addition, 685 of the 834 rules and processes were identified simplified during the period.
Singh said that the special campaign of the disposal of the sea in the government was carried out on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and progress would be presented to him this week.
He told that during this campaign, temporary files were identified and removed in accordance with existing instructions and excessive memo materials and obsolete goods were discarded to improve cleanliness at work.
