13 farmers booked in Jagadhri for protest

Yamunanagar: Yamunanagar District Police on Saturday enrolled a case of 13 farmers who were identified and others who held strong protests against Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Transport Minister Transport Mool Chand Sharma in Jagadhri.
The farmers have been ordered for allegedly using criminal powers against the police, causing damage to public property and trying to destroy police barricades using a tractor.
In the complaint of the Jagadhri City Police house officer (Sho) Inspector Suresh Kumar, the police have registered a case against 13 farmers identified and other under Section 148 (Rioting), 149 (Unlawful Assembly), 323 (voluntarily causing wounds), 332 (voluntarily cause injury to the intention to prevent public servants from their duties), and 353 (violence or criminal to prevent public servants from disposal of their duties) from the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and 3 (Mischief causes damage to public property) prevention of damage to law – – Public property (PDP) acts at the Jagadhri City Police Station on Saturday.
