13 positive tests with ‘most powerful’ dengue strains in Agra

Agra: After Firozabad, the Dengue DenV-2 strain has emerged as the main cause of concern for the Ministry of Health in Agra Regency.
Of the 25 samples sent by SN Medical College for the analysis of serotiping to KgMu in Lucknow, 13 has been tested positive for DenV-2 dengue strains.
These patients belong to the age group 6 to 45 are undergoing treatment.
According to the Ministry of Health record, 149 cases of dengue fever have appeared in Agra in the last three weeks.
In addition, 23 people suffering from viral fever and symptoms of dengue fever were killed in the district.
From here, 19 are children.
According to the SNMC Principal Dr.
Prashant Gupta, of the four serotypes of dengue viruses that can cause infection, DENV-2 is the strongest and produce “hemorrhagic fever” among children.
This can also cause fatal internal bleeding and dengue shock syndrome in patients.
“Symptoms caused by DENV-2 include continuous vomiting, abdominal pain, high-grade fever, weak pulses, anxiety, confusion, irritability, wet skin, and gums and bleeding nose,” said Medical Officer Agra Arun Kumar Srivastav.
“So far, one death is due to dengue fever and 22 because viral fever has been registered.
The majority of these are children,” Srivastav added.
The maximum number of deaths has been reported from Bah and Pinahat, Fatehpur Sikri in the Rural Agra, Tedi Bagia under the ITMAD-UD-Daulah Police Station, Etmadpur and other regions in the district.

In the past week, more than two dozen deaths due to viral fever and symptoms such as dengue fever have also been reported in Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Meerut, Bareilly and the eastern district up.
According to the Ministry of Health officials, so far more than 5,000 cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in Agra.
From here, the majority came from the Firozabad district.
Some cases of malaria, typhus scrubs (bacterial diseases spread by larval mites) and leptospirosis (bacterial diseases spread through urine infected animals) have also been reported.
