Mysuru: A total of 13 secondary school students and five teachers belonging to two schools in Kollegal were tested positive for Covid-19 in Chamarajanagar on Saturday.
Of the 13 students tested positively, six students came from Sattegala High School.
Seven students and five other teachers came from the Vasavi City education institution.
Touching to Toi, Kollegal Block Education Officer Chandra Patil said the principal and management of each school had suspended classes for now.
Directions have also been given to clean up their school in accordance with Covid security guidelines, officers added.
Sattegala High High School was ordered to close for three days.
Directions have also been given to filter all students in addition to subjecting students, who come into contact with students who test positive tests, up to RT-PCR.
