13 Teachers from the Dist were selected for the Radhakrishnan Award

Coimbatore: P Suguna, 39, a Mathematics teacher from the Middle School of Union Panchayat, Onnipallayam, made learning attractive to his students by combining the curriculum with the forms of people’s art.
While he is experienced in the form of Tamil People’s art such as Parai, Oyilattam, Kolattam, Sattaikuchi Nadanam, Kummi and Karagattam, he is also able to include these forms of art in his teaching.
The teaching method has reduced the dropout rate at his school.
Suguna is one of the 13 teachers chosen for the Award Dr.
Radhakrishnan state government in the district of this year.
Winghate by confession, Suguna said he would take awards as a boost for his future efforts to make interesting learning for students.
T Franklin, 45, a science teacher from the Corporate High School, Okiliyar Colony, was chosen for awards in a few months after he qualified.
It is mandatory for teachers to complete 15 years of government without black signs to qualify for the award.
The recipient of the Kanavu Aasiriyar award from the state government, Franklin is recognized mainly because it uses online resources to teach school students.
Before the pandemic was made online studying the norm, Franklin helped school to establish a computer lab with 33 systems in 2014 with crowdsourcing funds.
When school does not have a math teacher for some time, it exposes students to study the video on the subject.
“These videos help students to learn the basics of mathematics easily,” he said.
“I try to make children be aware of all types of online learning sources so that they are not abandoned when new technology interventions create disorders on the way students learn.” When G Indira, 54, the principal of the Principal of Middle School Girls, Mettupalayam, was in a government school in Parali near the Dam Pillur five years ago, he has helped 14 tribal students to complete their studies.
To ensure that students can write their board test without hassle, he found accommodation for them and their family members near the exam centers and ensure that their basic needs are fulfilled.
It helped 14 girls to finish their school.
As Principal, Indira has been able to achieve a 100% percentage of graduating in the XII Class XII exam for five consecutive years in his school.
This award brings 10,000 medals, certificates and cash.
