JAMSHEDPUR: The second wave of Pandemic Covid-19 has claimed the lives of other children in the steel city.
Undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at Tata Main Hospital (TMH) here for almost a week, the last victim, a 13-year-old girl, also suffered from a jaundice.
He gave up on viral diseases on Saturday.
The girl had visited the hospital for the treatment of jaundice but was then tested positive for Covid-19.
Residents of Golmuri, the girl did not have a history of travel.
Previously, in April, a child died after contracting infectious diseases.
Additional Medical Officer Chairperson, (ACMO), Sahir Pall, said so far, 1,932 children under 14 years were infected with Covid-19 in the state.
Nearly 1,200 of them are boys and the rest are women.
Pall added, “sample testing and vaccination is being carried out to check Covid graphics.” With 43,518 cases, urban circles consisting of three urban city areas Jamshedpur, Mango and Jugsalai reported a large number of Covid cases in the past 13 months.
Secretary of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Chapter Jamshedpur, Mrityunjay Singh, has suggested residents to strictly adhere to Covid’s appropriate behavior to postpone the emergence of the third wave potential in the district.
