13 years after Singur Saga, the TMC government welcomed

Kolkata: Thirteen years after their small car project was forced out of West Bengal after the anti-land liberation movement in Singur, Minister of State and Minister of Partha Chatterjee said talks with Tatas for large ticket investments in the state.
Underpointing employment creation as the top priority of the TMC government, Chatterjee also said that incentives to the company will depend on the ability to produce work.
He said the dispensation of Mamata Banerjee wants two large manufacturing units to be established by the earliest leading industrial house.
“We have never had hostility with Tatas, we did not fight against them.
They are one of the most respected and largest business houses in the country and also abroad.
You cannot blame tatas (for singure failure).
The problem is by the government Left front and land acquisition policy forced.
Tata Group is always welcome to come and invest in Bengal, “Chatterjee said.
Chatterjee also added that the conglomerate of the salt business for steel has shown interest in establishing a central commander in Kolkata to accommodate his office.
“We already have the presence of Metallies, one center of Bata In addition to TCS here.
But if they are willing to come up with large ticket investments in manufacturing or other sectors, there is no problem,” he said.
When asked whether the state government would try hard to reach Tatas, Chatterjee said he was in touch with group officials to attract investment.
Singur, who used to be known as many plant agriculture, the center of the attention of the media that was popular after Tata Motors determined its view on the ground to build the cheapest car nano in 2006.
The government’s left front acquired 997 hectares throughout the company and handed it to the company.
Mamata Banerjee, then in the opposition, called a hunger strike that demanded the return of 347 hectares of agricultural land which was “forcefully” obtained.
Apart from several rounds of meetings between TMC and the left front government, this problem cannot be resolved and tatas finally moved from Singur to Sanand in Gujarat in 2008.
