Lucknow: A total of 139 criminals have been killed and 3,196 were injured at a meeting with the Uttar Pradesh police since 2017, and the troops had lost 13 personnel in the incident, a senior official said on Monday.
In the State Government’s instructions, strict actions have been taken against famous criminals, their partners and mafia, additional principals, household departments, said Avanish Kumar Awasthi.
“From March 20, 2017, until June 20 this year, 139 criminals have been killed at a police meeting and 3,196 was injured.
In this action, 13 martier police personnel, while 1.122 was injured,” he said in a statement.
“The government has a zero tolerance policy on crime, and organized crime so far,” said Awasthi.
He said that illegal property worth more than 1,500 crore rs has been confiscated under the Gangster law.
This includes more than 1,300 rs properties confiscated from January last year until now, he said.
More than 13,700 cases have been registered under the Gangster Act, where more than 43,000 people were arrested in the last four years, said Awasthi.
He said that under the Gangster Law, the highest number of seizures was made in the Varanasi zone.
There were 420 cases and property values during Rs 200 Crore confiscated, the official said.
In the Gorakhpur zone, in 208 cases, property worth RS 264 Crore was confiscated.
Officers said that in the direction of the Chairman of Yogi Minister Adyityath, on the second and fourth Saturday a month, ‘Thana / Samadhan Diwas will be organized to hear people’s complaints and replace them.
Senior police and administrative officials will be available in these days and people can reach them to get their problems laid out.
The Covid protocol will be strictly followed in these programs, said Awasthi.
