JAIPUR: The state health department has been administered the first dose of Covid vaccine to almost 14.08 lakh individuals in the 18+ group until Monday considering launch the drive May 1. The figures translate to only two percent of the goal of crore doses since the 18-44 age group population in the country is currently about 3.5 crore. Police have blamed the vaccine firms to the slow rate of vandalism since the firms have yet to be in a position to appeal to the need of their state health division. Singh added that although just 1 lakh or less vials are obtained, sending them into each and every area is a herculean undertaking. “Should we receive a great deal of nearly 7 lakh vialsour transfer mechanics and additional logistics may have small rest. But today the situation is once a car reaches Sriganganagar using 5,000 vials, we have to send a different car per day after in a different car. We’ve been asking the Serum Institute to deliver us sufficient quantity of vaccines,” he added. Even health minister Raghu Sharma was complaining of inadequate supply of vaccines. “We’ve paid cash ahead of Serum institute, however we aren’t obtaining the necessary lot. I think for 18+ class, we surely require momentum. Additionally for each other group, we want adequate vaccines”
