14 more electric buses launched

Kanpur: To keep the city free of pollution and to provide better transportation facilities to general residents, 14 more electric buses launched from electric bus depots located in Ahirwan in the presence of MP BJP Devendra Singh Bhole and Divisional Commissioner on the first day of the New Year on Saturday.
Apart from the above, six buses were inaugurated by BJP MLA Pratibha Shukla at Ghantaghar-Raniya Marg in Rania in Kanpur Dehat.
He also rode the bus.
The announcement of the launch of the 20 buses above was made by the Division Commissioner at the first function held earlier on December 21, 2021.
MP Devendra Singh Bhole expressed happiness for the operation of the pollution-free bus in Kanpur.
Division Commissioner Raj Shekhar, said that the bus was also operated as a metro feeder in the future.
In the future, instructions have been given to operate 20 additional buses as metro feeders and are expected in the future of more than 16,000 passengers will benefit from this bus and there will be availability of world-class pollution free traffic in the city.
“It is proposed to operate 100 electric buses in the city, which will be completed on March 31, 2022.
At present around 10,000 passengers benefit from this bus.
With the operation of this 20 buses, around 16,000 passengers will benefit every day by increasing daily commuters,” he said .
