Kanpur: After waiting around the year for their relatives to complete the last ritual, 14 ash-jars that are not claimed to be stored in ‘Asthi Kalash Bank’ in Bhairav Ghat are finally given the burial of land with all respect.
Former City Mayor of Captain Jagatveer Singh Drona, National Secretary General of Kinnar Mahasabha Kajal Kiran, Pandit Ramji Tripathi, Red Cross President Dr.
Umesh Paliwal, Pandit Vijay Pandey, Corporator Mahendra Pandey participated in the ‘Pooja’ and the ‘Ash Guci’ ritual of the land burial.
The Manoj program organizer and Madhavi Sengar, when talking to Toi said that 14 ‘Asthi Kalash’ lay unclaimed at the Bank ‘Asthi Kalash’ in Bhairav Ghat for the past year and no one appeared to claim them.
They said that ‘Asthi Kalash’ was from those who died because Covid in 2020 and their relatives did not appear for their Lat ceremony.
Manoj said that after that a long wait with the last ritual of Asthi Kalash was resolved respectfully.
“We urged people to give the funeral of Ash Guci instead of depositing them in Maa Ganga, so it saved him from pollution”, said Sengar.
Sengars said that maybe not afraid of Covid’s contract, people did not appear to claim Asthi Kalash but someone’s final rite must always be resolved for their ‘moksh’.
