Aurangabad: Harsul Center Prison in Aurangabad has witnessed a fresh surge in the case of Covid-19 with 14 positive test prisoners in just a 48-hour period ending on Sunday morning.
The day after Aurangabad reported a surge in patients with the addition of 23 new cases, appearing that 12 of these patients were prison prisoners Harsul.
On Friday, prison has reported two fresh Covid cases.
Health officials from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dr.
Neta Padalkar on Sunday said that all prisoners did not show symptoms.
“As part of the SOP, the detainees and undistrials undergo a required Covid test before being moved or out of prison.
14 This inmates underwent covid filtering in the Harsul Center prison before being moved from a place for a court hearing,” he said.
Padalkar said special isolation cells had been put in place in the Harsul Center prison where all covid positive prisoners were being treated.
“All preventive steps that might be taken to avoid the spread of further infection in prison,” he added.

The early June 2020 that Harsul’s central prison has reported one of the main playpes of Covid-19 with 29 positive test prisoners.
Meanwhile, the health authority once again appealed to residents to avoid crowding in public places given the marginal increase in the Covid-19 daily case.
“Even if almost all covid-related sidewalks are appointed now, people must realize that the pandemic is still far from above.
Because there is an official prediction of the third wave of Covid-19 which is possible, no one has to decrease the guard,” said Padalkar.
With the addition of 18 new cases, the total active case in the ananggaurad city limit has reached 75.
