Thiruvananthapuram: The country recorded 9,735 fresh positive cases as a sample of 93,202 tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases, 8,334 people qualified for vaccination.
While the 2,770 people had taken a single dose, 2867 had received both shots.
A total of 151 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid-19 took the death toll related to the country to 25,678.
At the same time, 13,878 patients have recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 9,101 people were infected through local deployment.
Infection contact sources cannot be tracked for 529 people.
There are 69 health care professionals among those infected while 36 people have arrived from outside the country.
Thrissur reported the highest number of cases (1,367) followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1156), Ernakulam (1099), Kottayam (806), Palakkad (768), Kollam (755), Kozhikode (686), Kannur (563)), Alappuzha (519) , Pathanamthitta (514), Idukki (374), Wayanad (290) and Kasaragod (150).
There are 1,24,441 current active cases are 11.1% of people received in hospitals or in other treatment centers.
