Vadodara: One person was arrested for arranging the Garba program on the open plot near Muktanand Circle in Karelibaug without permission required on Friday night.
The police from the Karelibaug police station said that during patrolling the Muktanand circle, they saw a large crowd gathered outside and inside the open plot.
Also, the vehicle is parked carelessly outside the plot that causes traffic congestion.
The police said that the crowd of more than 1,000 people was collected in the plot.
Government guidelines do not allow more than 400 people to ‘Sheri Garba’.
Organizers have arranged the event under Banner Shri Navshakti Garba Mahotsav.
In questioning the organizer of Kamshesh Parmar, he was studied that he did not ask police permission to regulate the event.
Parmar told the police that they had planned to only allow 400 people, who were fully vaccinated.
However, when the crowd swelled the situation out of their control.
The police immediately asked Parmar to stop music and close the event.
Revelpers are asked to evacuate the plot.
Parmar was arrested and violations did not comply with the orders of civil servants and under registered disaster management laws against it.
