1,450 new MBBS seats at TN Govt Medical Colleges

Chennai: With the Ministry of Health Association which gave approval for 150 seats each of the four new government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, the total number of new MBBS seats in universities has increased to 1,450.
The Minister of Health of Tamil Nadu Ma Subramanian in a statement on Thursday night said the Ministry of Health Union has approved 150 new seats in four new government medical colleges in Krishnagiri, Dindigul, Nagattinam, and Ariyalur.
Previously, 850 MBBS seats were approved and with this 600 seats the total number of new seats at the State Government Medical Higher Education will touch 1,450, the Minister said.

The 1,450 MBBS seat will take the total number of medical seats in the state to 9,100.
The Minister of Health said that the medical team appointed by the Ministry of Health Union had previously showed several small shortcomings in furniture and books in the Library of four new medical colleges in Dindigul, Nagapattinam, Krishnagiri, and Ariyalur.
He said the country’s medical education director had visited Delhi three times in the last 15 days to assess the inspection team about improving this small deficiency.
MA Subramanian when talking to IANS said, “We are now approval for 1,450 MBBS seats in this academic year and expect additional 100 seats in Coimbatore Medical College where there are 150 seats.
We hope for this year’s own approval.
There are now 9,100 MBBS sitting in the country The Tamil Nadu section, including in government colleges, self-financing colleges, and is considered university.
