Kanpur: District Election Office will exceed 14,808 workers in 3702 booths in ten city elections in general elections.
Cletting was sent to election workers for their training.
About 1488 workers will be saved as a reserve force to replace Covid-infected workers or if there are no workers, said the source.
Four main officers – known as the first, second and third main officers – will manage every booth.
They will provide training to operate EVM, seal it and do mocking polls, the next source said.
The four workers, who will be prioritized in each booth, will be trained in two phases by the Master Trainer.
Their assignment will be repaired by responsible officers, human resources.
Previous experiences showed that some workers did not take their training seriously.
During the poll cheering them could not connect the EVM control unit and control the sound unit correctly which caused chaos in the chambers that resulted in the poll, a election officer said.
