Chennai: The corporation has mistreated one official IAS each for 15 zones to monitor the enforcement of Covid-19 norms, carry out routine inspections in groups, and visit filtering centers and filtering.
During the meeting held at Ripon Building on Friday, corporate commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi directed official responsibilities, which included patient monitoring isolated at home and ensured that patients received their medical kit in a timely manner.
Officials will directly report to the commissioner every day.
“I have told them to attend the gate meeting in the morning and give Pep talking to volunteers to improve their morals,” Commissioner Toi said.
Officials are also advised to visit random houses with quarantine patients and check whether the yellow garbage bag is distributed to them and if the patient adheres to the rules of quarantine.
“They are also asked to monitor home-triates and coordinate with doctors if patients are symptomatic and paramedics if they do not show symptoms.
They have to ask the patient whether they get a call from the telephoto counseling center,” said Bedi, he added that random inspections would be made at Counseling centers in the city to ensure that staff call patients at least twice a day.
The IAS officials will also ensure that all corporate ambulances are included in ferry patients.
“We don’t want patients to use their private vehicles.
The IAS officials must coordinate with 1913 and ensure that the ambulance reaches the house in time if a patient is positive,” Bedi added.
In addition, officials were assigned to keep tabs on the private lab so that there was no delay in providing Covid-19 test results.
