15 students, 6 teachers in Tamil Nadu Test Covid-19 positive

Trichy / Coimbatore / Cuddalore: More school students continue to test the positive Covid-19 since schools reopened for class physical mode on September 1, Monday, the authorities revealed that at least 15 school students and six teachers from various parts of the country were tested positive.
While some students are tested positive after showing symptoms, the majority are identified through random testing carried out at school.
Institutions that reported several cases were closed while the school that reported a single case continued to operate after sanititis.
In Coimbatore, eight students from four government schools and one private school have been tested positively.
District Head Education Officer in Coimbatore, N Geetha said all schools will continue to function except Sulthanpet’s Government High School in which three students were tested positively, which were closed for three days from Monday.
Students of students tested positively asked to stay at home and attend online classes for several days.
Officials from the Ministry of Health said that they would continue to carry out random testing among school students.
In Tiruvarur, four students, all from different government schools near Tiruvarur, Mannargudi and Thiruthuraipondi, were tested positively.
However, the Ministry of Health refused to divulge information about how students were tested.
At Trichy, a class XII student from a private CBSE school near Rettaivaikkal showed symptoms on the day that was reopened and sent back home to undergo testing.
On Monday, the Department of School Education confirmed that the girl was positive, private schools would be closed for five days from Monday.
In Pukkottai, a class X near Karamabakudi was tested positive after displaying symptoms.
He did not attend school for the last three working days, but the school will be disanitized and supervised by the health team, officials said.
In the Cuddalore district, a student in the city of Neyveli was tested positively, thus taking the number of students infected 15 on Monday.
Until Sunday, three students from Ariyalur and one student from Namakkal and two of the Thanjavur District had been tested positively.
At Karur, a government school teacher was tested positively.
When he has symptoms on Thursday, he doesn’t go to school since then.
Likewise, four teachers were tested positive in the Tirupur district.
One of them has been tested positive a few days ago but information only appears now.
A headmaster in high school in Kallakurichi was tested positive on Monday.
Ten staff related to him were toolated themselves and tested if there were symptoms.
