15 tons of rice PDS confiscated from the village in Jamnagar

Rajkot: Towards the celebration season, the Jamnagar District Mamlatdar confiscated around 15,000 kg of PDS rice from a warehouse on the outskirts of Kanda Bavisi Taluka Village in the Jamnagar district on Sunday night.
Officials of the civilian civil supply department said that they received a tip-off that the large stock of grains provided for the Public Distribution System (PDS) through a fair price store would be lowered in a failed Sunday night.
During the 301 attack of rice bags, each weighing 50 kg, and the truck carrying this stock was confiscated.
Total confiscation is worth Rs 7.25 lakh including trucks, worth Rs 5 lakh.
After being interrogated, the driver revealed that he brought this stock from a fair price shop in Kadbal Village.
The next day, the district clerk team visited the store at a reasonable price of Bhaya Belani in Kadbal.
During verification, deviations found in records of grain stocks.
The following officers confiscated by shares worth Rs 1.27 lakh from the store, suspended a Belani license and also initiated the process to file a police complaint against him.
The grains are intended to be distributed among poor people during Diwali through a fair price store.
According to sources, regardless of belani many others may also be involved in fraud.
