Karwar: The body of the 15-year-old Mohin Mehboob, who was dragged into the river by the crocodile on Sunday, was found by the rescue team on Tuesday morning.
The boy’s body is intact unless the hands are lost and injured on the head.
The crocodile who had attacked the boy was found to move in the river for two days with the boy’s body in his mouth.
On Monday even though they found a crocodile, they couldn’t catch it.
On Tuesday, the rescue team surrounded crocodiles with boats and nets.
But it runs away by dropping the body in the water.
Forest officials said that crocodiles could not eat their prey under water.
They must come to the bank to consume it.
Sometimes they hide their prey under water and eat it after it breaks down.
Locals say tourists and several times children destroy eggs placed by crocodiles that provoke reptiles.
Crocodiles lay eggs on the river and hide them in the sand.
Children damage eggs or bring them to play.
There are a few examples of people who killed newborn crocodiles when the mother left.
Such laws provoke crocodiles, said forest officials.
Local administrations and forest officials have warned of actions against those who pamper themselves in damage such as describing crocodile eggs or killing newborn crocodiles.
Locals and tourists have been asked not to fish or swim in the river times.
The crocodile park comes in Dandeli even though crocodiles can be seen in areas where human residents are high.
