Gorakhpur: A 15-year-old 8-year-old student in Kushara Village under the Chilualal Police Area, Gorakhpur District Jurisdiction committed suicide allegedly after being beaten by class teachers and dating from school on Saturday.
The only mistake was that he had protested the physical punishment given to his younger brother, a same school student.
On the basis of suicide records and the written application by the father of the deceased, the police registered a case against the school manager, the principal and class in this connection.
The school manager was arrested on Saturday night while the police were looking for teachers and principals.
According to the report, on Friday when Shivam Pandey, 15, the son of Tripurari Pandey, protested a teacher to defeat his younger brother at school, the class teacher took him to the principal and he was also beaten.
On Saturday, the school manager drove Shivam from school.
Depressed for the incident, Shivam on Saturday night hung himself from the ceiling of the room in his house.
His body was found hanged by his mother.
“The case has been registered under Section 306 (Suicide Reduction) IPC against Goldi’s class teacher, Principal of Bal Krishna Yadav and Jawa Sharma School Manager.
School managers have been arrested and the police are looking for principals and class teachers,” Sho Chiluatal said, said Vinod Agnihotri on Monday.
