Tirana: another aircraft carrying 150 Afghans who fled their homeland, afraid of Taliban’s takeover arrived in Albania at the beginning of Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Newcomers brought the total number of Afghanistan brought to the Balkan country to 607.
The ministry statement said the plane came from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Albania has accommodated most of the Afghans in hotels and some of them while on campus students in the capital of Tirana.
The government said it would accommodate up to 4,000 Afghans for at least one year before they moved to the United States for the final settlement.
