150 non-teaching Bu staff demanded promotion

Bengaluru: More than 150 members of the Non-Teaching Employee Association of the University of Bangalore (BU) demanded that the promotion was due for more than three years.
More than 250 Association members held protests on campus on Wednesday.
They spread after getting a guarantee from the Chancellor representative that the problem would be resolved in a week.
Krishnappa H, Secretary of the Association, said they had submitted several memoranda to universities in the past two years and the problem was finally discussed at a special syndicate meeting earlier this year.
“It was decided to approve our request, but some syndicate members now created obstacles and asked for a meeting to be detained again.
So we held protests …” he said.
There are 1,240 poles of sanctions for non-teaching employees in Mrs, where 540 works.
From them, more than 150 qualified for promotion.
A university official told Tii that the old promotion was delayed was the result of random promises to the group post C and D.
“According to the rules, those who have a PUC qualification and below must be appointed to a group of posts and those who have PUC and above must be Group C posts.
However, the University has made a promise as desired and fantasy.
Now, the appointment must be corrected with promotion and 70 others have been waiting for promotions for the past three years, “the official said.
