Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 15,058 positive cases from 91,885 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The level of testicitivity (TPR) has increased to 16.39%.
The state also reported 99 Covid deaths, took the victim to 22,650.
At the same time, 28,439 patients had recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 14,336 cases have been infected through local transmission.
Infection contact sources cannot be traced to 612.
There are 61 health professionals among those infected, and 49 people have arrived from outside the country.
Thrissur reported the highest number of cases with 2,158, followed by Kozhikode with (1,800), Ernakulam (1,694) and Thiruvananthapuram (1,387).
The current total active case is 2,08,773, where 13.5% of people are received in hospitals or in other treatment centers.
There are 5,90,219 people currently observing in various districts, where 5,60,694 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 29,525 in isolation in hospitals.
As per the weekly infection population ratio, a different environment in 794 local bodies have more than 7% WIPR.
