Kanpur: Luck smiled at 1,536 applicants on Saturday when they received a flat letters under the Pradhan Mantri Beware of Yojana in the Jawahar Puram-1 Sector-1 scheme through a lottery at the Shatabdi Nagar Stadium.
There are around 1,931 applicants for 1,536 flats.
The lottery process began in front of the Cabinet Minister Neelima Katiyar and MP Devendra Singh Bhole.
The first Allottee was Vishwanath, the son of Jamuna Prasad, whose chit was revoked by Devendra Singh Bhole.
Amar Kumar and Aditya Kumar are the second and third people.
“I never thought that luck would smile at me on Saturday.
There is little hope that I can get allotment.
Immediately I will have your own home,” said Wishwanath.Addressing the candidates, Minister Neelima Katiyari said food, clothing and home is a need the basis of anyone.
