Letter: At least 14,680 students have taken revenues in city schools run by Municipal Corporation (SMC) in the past year, the latest data released by the Civic body revealed.
Overall 1.65 lakh students were studying at the school run by Nagar Prathmik Shikitan Samiti (NPSS) and also claimed that it was the highest in this country.
According to parents of children who study in SMC schools and also civilian authorities, increased infrastructure and the quality of teaching is what the main resources for students.
The majority of city schools in the city do not have vacancies in class, while schools in Varachha, Katargam, Amroli and the area around this area have a list of waiting for students who are looking for entrance tickets to these schools.
“We observed a sudden increase in the number of students this year and at least 14,680 students migrate from private schools.
