15L Fly & Get Out of Mumbai Airport this August; 4L in 2020.

Mumbai: More than 15 passengers flying in or out of Mumbai airport in August, more than three times compared to last August, when only 4 passengers lakh passed Mumbai airport.
After staying at home for more than three months because the second wave of Covid, passenger traffic began to pick up in June-July.
But it was in August, with festivals such as Raksha Bandhan, Janmastami and Onam falling on weekends, the airport saw a surge in passengers.
Of the 15.87,150 passengers who took domestic flights, internationally, 14.02.369 were domestic passengers and 1,84,787 flying to or arriving from the international location, said Mumbai International Airport spokesman Ltd.
Among these, 7.85,479 is a passenger arrival and 8.01.677 is a passenger departure.
Delhi, Bangalore and Goa appeared as the domestic destination that most traveled from Mumbai, with 2,42,085, 1,11,026 and 95,089 passengers.
While Doha appears as the top international destination with around 41,410 passengers to and from Mumbai.
It was followed by Dubai and men with 37.126 and 18,190 passengers respectively, traveling internationally from Mumbai, the spokesman said.
For a weekend trip in August, Goa appeared as a destination for the highest traveling with 22,078 passengers, followed by Srinagar, Jammu and Leh.
