16,000 Evacuated from Kabul Airport in the last 24 hours: Pentagon

WASHINGTON: Around 16,000 people were evacuated for the last 24 hours of Afghanistan through Kabul Airport, said the Pentagon Monday, because the US worked to complete its backs of August 31.
General Hank Taylor told reporters that 61 military, commercial and charter flights involved a number of countries fly out of Hamid Karzai International Airport in 24 hours to 3.00 on Monday (0700 GMT) brought people to escape after the Taliban seized power.
Of the total evacuated that day, 11,000 was taken by US military airlift operations, Taylor said.
Taylor said the number of people moved from Afghanistan since July on US flights reached 42,000, with 37,000 from them since the Intens Airlift operation began on August 14 when the Taliban took Kabul.
That includes “several thousand” US citizens, and thousands of Afghans who work for US forces, who have submitted or accepted a special immigrant visa, and Afghanistan is seen as a risk to the Taliban attack for their work in non-governmental organizations, media, and other jobs , According to a Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
Kirby said the focus continued to operate US evacuation operations at the August 31 deadline set by President Joe Biden to complete withdrawal from Afghanistan.
It will require 5,800 US troops withdrawals which basically run airport operations and maintain security since August 14, as well as a large number of equipment brought to support their mission.
German officials, England and France said Monday that evacuation on their side could continue after August 31, and said they wanted the strength of the US to stay in place to help airlift international.
On Tuesday the leaders of the G7 wealth group will meet virtually in Afghanistan.
“Has the US can be convinced to stay is a problem for Prime Minister (Boris Johnson) tomorrow at the G7 meeting,” England Armed Forces Minister James Hearpey told Sky News.
The UK currently leads the G7, also consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States.
Kirby did not expressly override Washington to expand the deadline, even though the Taliban said they would hold the US for it.
For the United States, Kirby said, “The goal is to get as many people as soon as possible.” “The focus is trying to do this as well as possible, at the end of the month,” he said.
In the White House, Jake Sullivan National Security Advisor beat questions about extending the time limit of Pulpout US to G7 talks on Tuesday, saying the White House took the situation “day after day.” He said Biden had spoken with Johnson on Monday.
“We stay closely related to allies and partners to coordinate their own residents’ evacuation and their priority personnel,” Sullivan said.
He added that there was enough time to evacuate all US citizens in the country who had tried to leave.
“We believe that we have between now and 31 to get out of America who want to come out,” he said.
