Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Tuesday recorded 16,848 cases of fresh Covid-19, pushing the Kaseload infection to 31,87,716, with a test level of test (TPR) close to 12 percent after remaining about 10 percent.
The number of people who surrendered to the virus rose to 15,512 with 104 deaths again, said the release of the state government.
12,052 people have recovered from infection, taking total recovery to 30,45,310 and the number of active cases to 1,26,398, the release said.
Malappuram contributed most cases (2752), followed by Thrissur (1929), Ernakulam (1901), Kozhikode (1689), Kollam (1556), Palakkad (1237), Kottayam (1155) and Thiruvananthapuram (1055).
From new cases, 109 is a health worker, 101 comes from outside the country and 15,855 is infected through contacts, with a contact source unclear in 783 cases, the word release.
In the last 24 hours, 1,41,431 samples were tested and the test level (TPR) was found 11.91 percent.
The cumulative number of specimens examined so far is 2.55,72,679.
At present there are 4,05,178 people under supervision in various district districts.
Of these, 380,426 is located in a quarantine of a house or institutional and 24,752 in the hospital.
