City Corporation will immediately install GPS trackers in 17 lighter commercial vehicles used for garbage gathering door to door, Deputy Commissioner M Sharmila said.
“The distance borne by the driver will be checked on day to day instead of checking at the end of the month.
The driver will be notified of the distance shown on the tracker before they enter the details in the notebook,” he said.
“In addition, the route taken by each driver will be monitored Every day and they will be prepared if they deviate if they deviate.

The work is already ongoing to set a new route for every vehicle .
