Gurgaon: A 17-year-old girl suspected of being harassed for months and recently threatened with kidnapping by a local young man who pressed him to marry him to be found dead at his home on Sunday night.
The girl hung her from the ceiling fan from the first floor room.
In his police complaint, his father had accused him of being hunted by Rohit constantly – on the phone, on the road, on his way to school, and Rohit also threatened to “defame” his sister if he did not give up on him.

The Father said in his complaint, his younger daughter was also present when Rohit recently intercepted them on their way to school.
A few days ago, the 17-year-old told his father about the abuse and call from Rohit who was allegedly threatening him.
Father claimed he had faced Rohit by telephone, but failed to block him.
“My younger daughter told me that Rohit harassed my older daughter.
On June 7, one of his cousins called Rohit’s mother and asked her to tell her son not to harass my daughter.
He assured that his son would stop following my daughter,” The father accused.
However, stalkers don’t stop.
Malice grew when the 17-year-old continued to refinence – Rohit allegedly used routine threats.
Once up once, he stopped him near the local market and threatened to kidnap him if he refused to talk to him.
Rohit also allegedly threatened to slander his younger sister and endanger his family members.
“Rohit threatened to kidnap him before his sister and also threatened to slander my other daughters,” said the father.
On August 7, Rohit allegedly called him and insisted that he married to him.
The 17-year-old player told his father about the call, following the death of Rohit and threatened to file a police complaint if he continued to harass his daughter.
“In this situation, he committed suicide,” said the father in his complaint.
On Sunday, the police control room received a call at around 9pm about suicide and the team from the Pataudi police station was sent home.
“The girl hangs herself from the ceiling fan with Dupatta’s help.
There are no suicide notes found,” Subhash Benek police spokesman said.
