Letter: Close with 1,700 people vaccinated for Covid-19 in their home as part of the call of Clarion Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ driving throughout the country.
About 110 Ministry of Health Municipal Corporation (SMC) team was involved on the way on Wednesday.
SMC focuses on areas where the overall vaccination remains low compared to other regions.
Until Wednesday, 61% of the targeted population were vaccinated.
“The team conducts a survey of housing communities to find out the number of people who are not vaccinated.
Through surveys, we can identify the community,” said a health official.
The previous SMC began the ‘knock on a door’ campaign where the health team was used to visit housing communities with calls where more than 10 people were available for vaccination.
The campaign received a good response in mobilizing people and encouraging those who did not take the vaccine before.
“The team is formed at every level of health center.
A large number of people do not advance for the second dose and this drive will help in vaccinating them,” Health Officials said.
Against the targeted population, a total of 36.36 lakh people were vaccinated for the first dose while 20.94 lakh for the second dose.
