18 calves die after the truck hit the pole in Hassan

Hassan: The accident involving a mini truck carrying 41 calves caused death of 18 of which near Dyavappanahalli village near Halebidu from Belur Taluk in the Hassan district on Wednesday night.
The vehicle headed to Hassan when hitting an electric pole and reversed, police said.
Belur DSP Nagesh said the investigation was to find whether Betis was being brought for a slaughterhouse.
“After being told at around 10:30, our staff reached the place and provided the first aid for the congratulations of the accident.
On Thursday morning, our team did postmortem from 18 calves that might have died limply.
From the dead calf, 3- 4 Bore an external and internally bleed injury.
The calves are filled in vehicles by tying their legs and mouths tightly, it seems to stop them from shouting, “said Dr.
Gangadhar Nayak, assistant director of the Veterinary Hospital (Belur).
