KABUL: A total of 18 terrorists are killed and others sustained injuries as security forces stormed Taliban hideouts in portions of the restive Helmand province on Tuesday, said a report on the provincial authorities.
The security forces, between the police and the military stormed Taliban hideouts at Nahr-e-Saraj along with Nad Ali districts at the early hours of Tuesday, murdering 18 armed militants and injuring several others.
A number of 14 anti-personnel along with anti-vehicle mines also have been found and defused throughout the crackdowns, according to the announcement.
There were no casualties on safety employees, the statement further said, including the operation will last before the mentioned districts are removed from the insurgents.
