7 lakh remdesivir vials received as help from overseas have been sent or discharged to countries and Union Territories by April 27 to May 28 offset the next tide of Covid -19 disease, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday.
The Government of India was getting Covid -19 aid in kind of health care equipment and supplies because April 27 from various nations and businesses.
All these are being immediately dispatched and sent into these states and UTs, ” it stated.
Cumulatively, 18,040 oxygen concentrators, 19,085 oxygen tanks, 19 oxygen production plants, 15,256 ventilators along with BiPAP, about 7.
7 lakh remdesivir vials and almost 12 lakh favipiravir pills are delivered and discharged through air and road from April 27 to May 28.
Significant consignments obtained on May 26 and 28 in Turkey, Indian Business Association (Taiwan), Roche (Switzerland) and Eli Lily comprise 20 oxygen concentrators, five oxygen concentrator plants, including 680 oxygen tanks, 50,000 tocilizumab, 20,000 Baricitinib, 50 ventilators, Bi-PAP along with CPAP.
The ministry stated this includes 680 oxygen tanks obtained from Turkey, that involve some compliance problems, hence they’ve been withheld in a warehouse.
Successful instant feasibility, and compact delivery to the receiver countries and UTs and associations is a continuous exercise, ” the ministry said, adding it’s monitoring this on a normal basis.
A committed mobile was made from the Union Health Ministry to coordinate the allocation and receipt of international Covid relief substance as global collaboration in the kind of grants, assistance and contributions.
This mobile began working from April 26.
A normal operating procedure for that was framed and executed from the Health Ministry as May 2.
