Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Saturday recorded 18,531 fresh Covid-19 cases that encouraged infection to be calculated to 32,54,064, with a test level of test (TPR) fell down 12 percent.
TPR has passed 11 percent on July 19 after remaining beneath it for several weeks and continued to rise by 13.63 percent, on July 23.
The number of people who surrendered to the virus rose to 15,969 with 98 deaths.
A total of 15,507 people have recovered from infection, taking total recovery to 30,99,469 and the number of active cases in the state to 1.38,124, said the release of the state government.
In the last 24 hours, 1.55,568 samples were tested and the test level of test (TPR) was found 11.91 percent.
So far, 2,61,06,272 samples have been tested, he said.
Some of the worst affected districts in the country were Malappuram (2,816), Thrissur (2,498), Kozhikode (2,252), Ernakulam (2,009), Palakkad (1,624), Kollam (1,458), Thiruvananthapuram (990) and alappuzha (986).
From new cases, 74 was a health worker, 113 came from outside the country and 17,538 was infected through contact with a contact source unclear in 806 cases, the release said.
At present there are 4,24,351 people under supervision in various countries.
Of these, 3,98,407 are located in a house or institutional quarantine and 25,944 in the hospital.
There are 626 areas in the state with TPR more than 10 percent, the release said.
