1,890 new covid cases, 34 deaths in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 1,890 new Covid-19 cases and 34 deaths on Friday, with a total infection of 29.03.137 and the toll road became 36,525.
That day also saw 1,631 release, took the total number of recovery in the state as far as 28.43,110.
Bengaluru Urban contributed most CAES (426), as well as the city saw 366 release and only nine deaths, said the health department bulletin.
The total number of active cases reached 23,478.
While the level of prospitis for that day is 1.30 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) is at 1.79 percent.
Of the 34 deaths reported on Friday, nine came from Bengaluru Urban, Dakshina Kannada had seven, Bengalore Rural, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, Mysore and Uttara Kannada (respectively), followed by others.
Among the new districts reported, Bengaluru Urban contributed 426, Dakshina Kannada 345, Udupi 155, Mysuru 142, Hassan 135, Beleagavi 103, while the rest spread in other regions.
Bengaluru Urban District topped the list of positive cases, with a total of 12,26,889, followed by Mysuru 1,72,779 and Tumakuru 1.17,721.
Among the release too, Bengaluru Urban was above with 12,02,560, followed by Mysuru 1,69,056 and Tumakuru 1,15,643.
Cumulatively, a total of 3.85,10,966 samples have been tested in a state so far, where 1,45,197 was carried out on Friday.
