New Delhi: More than 19,000 cases are waiting in the Delhi High Court for five to 10 years and more than 13,000 cases for 10 years and more, the government told Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
Likewise, in the Allahabad High Court, more than 1.84 lakh cases are waiting for five to 10 years and more than 3.20 lakh for 10 years and above.
The High Court of Allahabad is the largest high court in the country.
In a written reply, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said 19,895 cases were waiting with the Delhi High Court aged 5 to 10 years.
A total of 13,263 cases were delayed for 10 years and more.
In the High Court of Allahabad, 184014 cases were waiting for 5 to 10 years, while 322350 was delayed for 10 years and above.
Sharing Data Pendency, the Minister said in the Delhi and District Court, 1.41,235 cases were delayed by 5 to 10 years.
A total of 13,571 cases of waiting for 10 years and above.
Likewise, in the court under Uttar Pradesh, 2117020 cases were delayed for 5 to 10 years and 15,60,739 for 10 years and above.
