Nineteen fresh cases of five countries on Monday took the omicron calculation of India to 174 even when infected patients continued to remain asymptomatic or display mild symptoms.
Delhi led the ancicron case increase on Monday with eight cases, followed by Karnataka and Kerala each with five and four cases.
Rajasthan and Gujarat reported each case.
Delhi’s cumulative count now stands in 30, the second highest in this country after Maharashtra leads with 54 infections.
Most cases Delhi has a history of travel and asymptomatic.
In Kerala, the four new cases were reported from Thiruvananthapuram.
However, none of the five new cases in Karnataka who reported positive on Monday for a very contagious variant had the history of the latest travel or contact with international tourists.
