19 Died in Mahul Longlide, confirm BMC

Mumbai: While the national disaster response count (NDRF) said 21 people had died and 2 others were injured in the Sunday Longslide Mosher, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has confirmed only 19 deaths other than five injured cases based on Rajawadi Hospital reports.
BMC senior officials from M Ward said that nearly 120 people around the landslide area in the crew had shifted to a safer BMC school building nearby.
And the other 200-250 people, still alive in the risky zone at the foot, will immediately shift to eight different places identified by the collector, he pointed.
NDRF officials said their rescue work ended last night and no corpse was trapped inside because almost all debris had been removed.

There is also a plan to place a double fence around the zone like that,” added the source.
