Bewarai: At least the nineteen people suffered an injury in the explosion at the Baruni Factory in the District Budusarai Bihar on Thursday morning.
According to the senior company officer of the senior company Ankita Srivastava, the blast occurred in the Vaccum Atmospher (AVU) unit furnace – 1 during the restarting unit after closing after more than two weeks closure.
“The excess built-up pressure during the restart process might cause an explosion,” he said, adding those who were injured in the incident working near the unit when the explosion occurred.
However, he insisted that the explosion was not too serious and operating in all other units as usual after the incident.
“The injury was caused by damaged unit fragments.
However, no one suffered a serious injury,” he said.
The Executive Director of the Baruni Refinery Shukla Mistry said that all injured people were accepted at the Baruni Reserve Hospital and a private hospital located near the factory.
“We will take all the care of injured people,” Mistry said.
According to the information provided by the Pananya, as many as five permanent retailers, the refinery also suffered an injury in the incident.
