Coimbatore: Two men gave up before Annur police after killing a 19-year-old boy in public view in Mayillkal near Annur on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as a nammapudur saravanan in Annur, Shivam’s beggar fund owner.
Two men who were transmitted motorbikes attacked him using sickles in Mayilkal in Annur – Coimbatore Road at around 11:30 a.m.
Saravanan, who fought a lifetime, was taken to the Annur government hospital and then to a private hospital in Kovilpalayam.
But the doctor said it was in demand “Saravanan has borrowed 1 lakh from Tamilselvan a year ago, but refused to return it.
This caused hostility between them and led to murder,” said a police officer.
Police Annur enrolled the case and held back the duo.
Meanwhile, the relatives of Saravanan protested in front of the Annur police station, demanding action against other people, who allegedly incited duo.
The police promised to take action against all involved in the incident.
