SHAHJAHANPUR: A 19-year-old girl died after swallowing poison after her fan supposedly molested her sister at a village , authorities said Friday.
The incident happened on Thursday from Pachdevra village beneath Nigohi police station area, ” he stated.
Rekha was at a love affair with Shivam and wanted to get married but her family didn’t approve it, Superintendent of Police, City Sanjay Kumar explained.
On Tuesday, Rekha’s father lodged a complaint from Shivam stating he’d molested his old daughter a couple of days before, that the SP said.
While the authorities suspect the Rekha committed suicide as her family didn’t permit her to wed Shivam, the villagers have informed the authorities that she had been seriously hurt after the accused together with her own sister.
The dead person’s body was sent to post-mortem and the issue has been investigated, police said.
