New Delhi: A 19-year-old graduation student from Haryana was arrested for imitating himself in the name of another candidate who was looking for entrance tickets to class 9 in the Jamia Millia Islamic school exam held recently, police said on Tuesday.
Defendant Mohd Ikhlash, a resident of Melat in Haryana, needs money and agreed to appear for the entrance examination in the name of another candidate and collect Rs 15,000 to take it, they said.

Shahid Khan where he said the entrance examination was carried out by school on Sundays where the Invigilator arrested ikhlash disguised as a candidate in the entrance test for the 9th grade of 2021-22 academic sessions, according to the police.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) RP Meena said, “When our team reached the place, The Invigilator said that when he examined the credentials of the candidates, it was found that the candidate’s photo on an identity card did not match the face of the defendant who appeared for the entrance.” Arrested told the police that he was in suppressing the need for money that made him accept the proposal to appear in the school entrance exam on behalf of a candidate and collect Rs 15,000 to do so, he said.
The case was registered at the Jamia Nagar police station and further investigation was ongoing to capture the original candidate, he added.
There was no previous involvement found against him, police said, added that a fake aadhar card was found from his ownership.
