New Delhi: A 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his older brother in the Karawal Nagar Northeast Delhi after a fight between them, police said on Thursday.
When the Defendant’s family member, Prashant Chand, met the incident, they tried to cremate the body without telling the police, officials said.
However, when the family reached the cremation soil, the priest saw a wound on the body and refused to conduct the last ceremony and told the police, officials said.
The incident occurred on Saturday and Sunday intervention.
A senior police officer said they received information about the incident on Sunday after the team rushed to the place and took over the body.
The father of the late told police that his younger son killed his brother and accepted that they quietly tried to cremate the body, officials said.
According to the police, the deceased, Prem Shankar (22), married about two months back.
Chand used to talk to Shankar Brother-in-law.
On the night of the incident, Shankar caught Chand with brother-in-law.
He slapped Chand and asked him to stop talking to him and told him that he was too young for things like that, the officer said.
After that, the defendant took out a stating gun and shot his brother.
When his family members must know about the incident, they took the body to the cremation land, the officer said.
The case has been registered at the Karawal Nagar police station and the defendant has been arrested, they said.
The police said that the defendant held a weapon during his brother’s wedding.
