Attari: A total of 190 Pakistani citizens, who were trapped in India after the closure of the border crossing due to the Coronavirus case, returned through the border point of Attari-Wagah on Sunday, officials said.
They came to pay respect at Hindu and Sikh temples in various Indian states.
Pakistani citizens underwent a medical examination and issued a medical certificate before they returned to their country.
Some Pakistani citizens said they were very happy to be able to return home after a gap more than a year.
Kanji Ram, a resident of Sindh Province in Pakistan, praised India’s authority to extend all the help he needed.
He said the Indian government was good enough to give him free food, medicine, medical care and shelter places besides helping to complete travel documents.
